introduction

INTAMS Library for the Interdisciplinary Study of Marriage

The INTAMS Library was established by INTAMS in 1995 in Sint-Genesius-Rode, near Brussels, Belgium, under the name LIBISMA (Library for the Interdisciplinary Study of Marriage).

In October 2005, the entire collection of about 15,000 volumes was donated to the Theology Library of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, at the same time as the creation of the INTAMS Chair for the Study of Marriage & Spirituality. Since then, LIBISMA is known under the name INTAMS Library.

The INTAMS Library offers a unique, international, and interdisciplinary collection of books, journals, and articles to promote the in-depth study of marriage, family, spirituality and related subjects.

The INTAMS collection is located on the first floor of the Theology Faculty library. A special study space is available for INTAMS scholars wishing to do research.

The INTAMS Library invites researchers to contribute to the collection by donating copies of or providing information about: summaries of research projects, completed studies, articles, dissertations, and unpublished monographs, as well as texts of lectures and pastoral ministry resources, in marriage-related areas.
