Women of Faith and the Family: Between Tradition and Modernity

Aldegonde Brenninkmeijer-Werhahn was invited to give a lecture at the LUMSA University in Rome at an interreligious seminar on "Women of Faith and the Family: Between Tradition and Modernity". Six women from different religions dialogued about issues such as the overlap between Jewish, Christian and Muslim women’s understanding of equality in the family; the unique contribution of women of faith to the changing spousal relationship models; religious and political influences on gender relations in the family; the passing-on of the faith to the new generations etc. The abstract of this study day, together with the papers, was sent to the office of Cardinal Baldisseri.
