Travel and AccommodationTraveling to Leuven: Participants are required to take care of their own travel arrangements, accommodation and meals. 1) If you arrive in Belgium by plane, you will travel either via Brussels International Airport (Zaventem) or Brussels South Airport (Charleroi). From Brussels International Airport there are two direct trains every hour that take you to the Leuven train station in about 15 minutes. Go here for timetables and on-line train tickets (3,30 euro single). You can also take a taxi from the airport directly to your hotel (+/- 50-60 euro). 2) If you arrive in Belgium by train (Thalys or Eurostar), you will travel via Brussels South train station (Brussel Zuid/Bruxelles Midi). From Brussels South train station there are at least six trains an hour that take you to the Leuven train station in about 30 minutes. Most trains in the direction of Tongeren/Tongres, Eupen, Welkenraedt, Landen, Genk and Luik/Liège Guillemins stop in Leuven. Go here for timetables and on-line train tickets (4,80 euro single).
